Ahem, it's that time of the year again, when we need some activities for winter.
So, at 11-12 February, ESK will have a winter event. Location -Veldemani holiday house (on Google maps)

Arrivals from 12:00, then some activities outside (from 13:00) and evening in sauna. Somewhere between "activities" and sauna, there will be food also. And for newcomers, some special activities somewhere in midnight.. :D :D
Activites are at the moment a bit "work in progress". We really hope, that we can get an icetrack (depends on weather, as long as I have heard), but if not, then something else...
Price per "nose" - 20EUR, and for that you get place to sleep, food in the evening and in the next morning. Bring your own towel and whatever you like to drink. As of today, about 14 empty places remain (house has 50 sleeping places).

As I am not an organizer this time, I'll forward any questions to them, if there is any.

Update.
As ice conditions on lake (Võrtsjärv) are bad (too bumpy to drive), rally is held on land, a field covered with ice and snow.
Track can be seen here. About 1.5 km in length. And place is a bit away from main house. Here. We still have some places left...

As there has to be some competition element in this, there will be two stints. First - precision (time), second - as fast as you dare. Two laps each time. Winner will be decided by fastest time + penalties from precision driving.

Pašlaik apsvēram domu braukt līdzjūtējos un baudīt vakara pirti, bet ja trase būs kā video, bez kupenām un bedrēm, tad iespējams, ka Grifs ņems dalību:)

I like the wide tracks, with looks like the tracks, instead of ordinary driving. The power and speed are not determinant.

Actually, as I got to know, track itself has not been "cut" yet. It will be done as late as possible, so local people do not ruin it before us..:P There's some 20cm snow currently and ice below that. But I have no idea, how wide it will be.

But I agree, last years Haapsalu track was good one. It is there this year also..:) Same configuration.

Vai kādam būtu vēlme braukt līdzi uz pasākumu? Pašlaik ir tāda situācija, ka braukt gribās, bet vienam (vai kopā ar meiteni) sanāk pa dārgu. Ja būtu vēl 2-3 līdzbraucēji, tad sanāktu ekonomiskāk.

Track will be 5m wide and shaped like this. Only smooth ice (area was flooded before freezing). If you have suggestions about configuration, tell them before 12 o'clock today, when tractor hits the road..;)

Track should not be wider? Winter tracks are usually 10-25m wide. Car is almost 5m long, so if u spin over there is no space for other drivers to bypass.

There will be no others on track, when you drive. Maybe 2 at a time and with plenty of gap. And we'll have a some 4x4 for pulling people out of snow, if needed.

Ar teicamu sacensību organizāciju, lieliski sagatavotu trasi un fantastiskā sacensību gaisotnē, apm 15-20 grādu salā, tika aizvadīts Igaunijas SAAB kluba rīkotais "Talveralli 2012". Latvijas SAABus pārstāvējām trijatā - Normunds, Gundars (Bio) un es.
Bija divu veidu sacensības. Sākotnēji tika veikts aplis uz laiku pēc izvēles, bet ne ilgāk kā 3:30, pēc tam, pēc laiciņa, bija jāveic vēl viens tāds pats aplis, cenšoties uzstādīt identisku laiku ar pirmā apļa laiku. Jebkura sekunde +/- bija vienas mīnus sekundes vērtībā no apļa laika, kurš pēc tam tika veikts uz ātrumu.
Trases seguma saķere mainījās ik mirkli un uz iepriekšējo braucienu trajektorijām īpaši paļauties nevarēja.
Visu cieņu Valdo un viņa mazajam 96 monstram. Lai kā gribētos - nebija noķerams. Nākošās trīs vietas gan bija mūsu, bet - kā pajokoja Valdo, ja latviešus izmestu no saraksta, tad otrajā vietā būtu viņa sieva!:woohoo:

Dalībnieku bij ap 20 ekipāžām.
Var jau arī teikt, ka pirmo piecinieku aizņēma divi auto. Ekipējumam tomēr arī ir nozīme
