Geers denied that unpaid customs fees indicated Saab had acute problems in its payments.

Saabisti, būsim reāli... ir iesniegts maksātnespējas pieteikums - tas process ir sācies un tas nav apturams... It tikai trīs iespējas - sanācija, izlīgums un bankrots. Ņemot vērā to, ka līdz šim neviens saabu nav atpircis no GM, to nedarīs arī tagad:blush:

Situation is following:
We have no unpaid debts owing to the Customs Authority.
The customs issue is more of a process issue. Until now, Saab has enjoyed a status within the Customs which allows for a more simplified process of credit. This "simpler process" is now recalled which means additional administrative work. We are working on solving this as a top priority, we are close to implementing a solution and we trust that production and the rest of the business will not be significantly disrupted.
The reason for the stop yesterday was an issue with another supplier. We were able to solve the issue quickly during the day.
Production is running normally again today. Tomorrow, Friday, is a planned production stop day.

We have all been working and are continuing to work towards a 'New Independent Saab'. With this in mind we thought we would send out a short, functional and home-made newsletter with some information that you may find useful.
We will aim to send this kind of communication out regularly and going forward we would like to hear your stories, feedback and best practices too. In the meantime keep up the good work!
Swedish Ministers visit Trollhättan (Monday 23 February)
Swedish Minister of Industry, Maud Olofsson and Sven Otto Littorin the Minister of
Employment travelled to Saab’s headquarters in Trollhättan to discuss plans for a ‘New Independent Saab’.
A variety of topics were on the agenda including Saab’s reorganization plans, short term funding plus Saab’s continued strategy for attracting
investment. Jan Åke Jonsson, when asked about the meeting said, “I can report that the discussions were constructive, open and made in
good spirit. During the meeting we laid out some of our plans to move forward as an independent entity and also our intention to concentrate Saab design, engineering and manufacturing in Sweden.” This is good
development for Saab, Trollhättan and Sweden.
The mood of the media
The coverage seems to have taken a more
positive slant over the last few days with
reports that Saab is in constructive and
open discussions with the Government and
that there is a viable plan being worked on.
In fact the media around the globe are
starting to speculate about possible
investors and even a new ‘9-1’ as reported
in NYTeknik (a Swedish newspaper) and also on our top enthusiast website

This week a selection of international journalists
are participating in the Arctic Adventure in
Northern Sweden. Not only will they get to test
drive the new Saab 9-3X but they will get the latest Saab update. Jan Åke made a whistle-stop tour to talk to Swedish media in this intimate
setting.
Saab on the web
The interest in Saab comes not only from media but also from the general public. We know the
Saab target audience is highly computer literate but we were surprised to learn that over the
last week we had up to 4 million hits per day at www.saab.com.
We’ve also been impressed by the level of passion shown by the numerous enthusiasts around the world particularly the on-line community. The standard enthusiast sites are receiving unprecedented views and there are also new on-line campaigns springing up daily.
Investor speculation
It is ‘early days’ and we don’t want to give much away however we have confirmed to the media that we have been contacted by a number of parties interested in investing in Saab. When we can update you we will.
